Contributions from Belgium to support our programs in INDIA and Uganda
You have two options:
If your donation does not need to be tax-deductible, then you can deposit your contributions directly to the account of Sahaya International.eu, Bloemstraat 4, 2470 Retie, Belgium.

If you like to make a tax-deductible contribution to support the programs of the partner organizations in India and Uganda, then we ask you to do this through the organization Sahaya-SAWES vzw (www.sevapur.be) which is separate from Sahaya (see drawing here): Please deposit your contribution to bank account number
Make your contributions each year before December 31 if you like to get a tax receipt for that year (to simplify the accounting).
The minimum donation amount that is required for a tax receipt is 40 euro for a fiscal year. You will recover 45% from personal taxes (artikel 145³³, §1, tweede lid van het Wetboek van de Inkomstenbelastingen 1992)
Please note: tax receipts can only be provided if the donation originates from an individual donor (not for contributions that represent a collection of funds from a group of donors).
Please indicate the purpose (for example, school, child sponsorship, general donation).

Contributions from the Netherlands to our programs in India and Uganda
From 2009, Sahaya International (USA) is recognized by the Dutch government as ANBI. (algemeen nut beogende instelling). Therefore gifts for our projects in India tax-deductible.

Although you can send your contribution to either the USA or Belgian Sahaya organization, money transfers within the European community have become very easy and are generally free, so the most convenient way would be to deposit your contributions directly to the account of Sahaya International.eu, Bloemstraat 4, 2470 Retie, Belgium
